Join us for a wide-ranging conversation about all aspects of the  8-month evolution of Sami Yip's show Sunrise. Shift your weight. Sami will share his experiences working with the Hidden Space team and how the extended critical dialogue shaped the development of the work on multiple levels, as well as the process of moving from art making to exhibition making and re-thinking the space.

Sami Yip is the 6th recipient of the Hidden Space Award. The award supports an artist graduating from a BA programme in Hong Kong. The awardee receives a solo exhibition with mentoring, critical, curatorial and installation support to develop their project, plus full venue access for one month prior to the show to re-articulate the space.

Sami Yip (HK) received his BAFA from RMIT University and Hong Kong Art School in 2023. His practice ranges across video, painting, drawing, performance and photography, finding forms to explore themes of personal and societal vulnerability.
